About SDCP
The School of Dental Care Professionals (SDCP), approved by the Higher Education Commission Pakistan, champions four-handed dentistry through an eight-semester program. Two semesters at Dow Institute of Medical Technology (DIMT) DUHS are followed by advanced training at SDCP, utilizing cutting-edge DIKIOHS (Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences) facilities. The Quality Enhancement Cell oversees activities, ensuring a blend of technology and skill development. With 11 graduated batches, the institute has made strides in research, academics, public health, and community healthcare, signaling a promising future across diverse fields.
In 2007, Dow University of Health Sciences founded the School of Dental Care Professionals (SDCP), initiating 2-year diploma programs in Dental Hygiene and Technology. Under the Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences, the school transitioned to 4-year BS degree programs in 2010, aligning with Higher Education Commission guidelines. The school grants BS Degrees in two subspecialties of Dental Care Professionals (DCP): Dental Hygiene and Dental Technology.

Dow University of Health Sciences prioritizes dental healthcare by fostering a skilled team of Operating and Non-Operating Dental Auxiliaries. Committed to global healthcare standards, the institution offers structured programs, emphasizing patient-centered education and training. The adept faculty, comprising Dental Hygienists and Dental Laboratory Technologists, excels in teaching, patient care, research, and community services. With a focus on lifelong learning, the School of Dental Care Professionals envisions growth, including plans for master-level programs in dental hygiene and technology.
