The Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Centre offers state-of-the-art, patient-centered Gamma Knife radiosurgery services, utilizing the latest technology to provide precise and non-invasive treatment for brain lesions and tumors.

The primary focus of the services is on treating various brain disorders, including brain tumors (both malignant and benign), acoustic neuroma, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), tremors, trigeminal neuralgia, and certain types of epilepsy.

The center has assembled a highly experienced team of neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, physicists, and radiation therapists to run the facility and provide world-class care to patients.

The facility is equipped with the Leksell Gamma Knife Icon, the latest Gamma Knife system known for its impressive track record, pinpoint accuracy, and outstanding results in indicated cases.

The commitment of the center is to make the very best healthcare available to the community at an affordable cost, particularly by being the first public hospital in Pakistan to install the Gamma Knife.

The Gamma Knife technology helps maintain the quality of life for patients with brain tumors, often allowing treatments to be completed in a single session.

The treatment process involves detailed medical review, imaging scans, and precise treatment planning on a computer by the neurosurgeon, radiation oncologist, and the multidisciplinary team.

After the Gamma Knife procedure, the center provides post-treatment care, including removal of the head frame (if used), cleaning and bandaging pin sites, monitoring for potential side effects, and offering discharge instructions.

Patients undergo follow-up CT and/or MRI scans to check treatment progress, and the center emphasizes the importance of continued monitoring and communication with healthcare providers.
