Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Larkana, establishing SMBBMU Larkana as a training location for DUHS’s Basic Life Support (BLS) Course.
The MOU marks an important step toward expanding access to standardized, internationally certified Basic Life Support training and strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals in emergency care and lifesaving skills across Sindh.
DUHS has been conducting internationally certified healthcare training since 2010, with a strong focus on developing and strengthening life saving skills among healthcare professionals.
Through its extensive training network and continued commitment to professional development, DUHS has trained more than 25000 healthcare providers in lifesaving skills, including Basic Life Support and other essential emergency care competencies.
The establishment of SMBBMU Larkana as a DUHS training location will help address this need by bringing standardized and internationally certified training closer to healthcare professionals in the region.
The collaboration will facilitate greater access to quality training opportunities for doctors, nurses, paramedics, students, and other healthcare professionals, ultimately contributing to improved emergency preparedness and patient outcomes.
The MOU was signed on 31 August 2026 in the presence of distinguished representatives from both institutions.
