(Highlights) Dow University of Health Sciences is proud to share the latest achievement in collaborative medical research
The original article titled “Progression from gestational diabetes to type 2 diabetes mellitus: a prospective observational study from a resource-constrained country – Pakistan” has been published in the prestigious journal Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice (DRCP) – the official, peer-reviewed journal of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) with an impact factor of 6.1.
This prospective study (2019–2023) was jointly conducted by DUHS and Baqai Medical University. The research highlights the long-term risk of type 2 diabetes among women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), with a special focus on the challenges faced in resource-limited settings like Pakistan.
