(Highlights) Fire Safety Awareness Session
The Ojha Institute of Chest Diseases, in collaboration with Lt. Col. (R) Iftikhar Hussain, Director of Safety and Security, conducted a comprehensive Fire Safety Awareness Session and drill for staff and employees on 29th April 2025.
The session was highly interactive and covered:
– A detailed explanation of fire classification and critical response techniques
– Hands-on training on the proper use of various fire extinguishers
– Practical guidance on selecting and applying the correct fire extinguisher based on fire type
– Basic fire safety and prevention measures
The training was aligned with the recommendations of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and the Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC), aiming to equip participants with essential skills in fire prevention, safety, and emergency response.
The session was organized under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed (Director), Dr. Ghulam Murtaza Sohu (Deputy Director), and Hurain Iqbal (Quality Assurance Officer).
