The Impact of Academic and Career Counseling Session & Visit at DUHS

Education for all has always been a core element of the sustainable development agenda. By 2030, the aim is to substantially increase the number of youth and adults equipped with relevant technical and vocational skills for employment, decent work, and entrepreneurship.

On 22nd March 2022, the Academic and Career Counseling Session was organized by CSSS, IBHM–DUHS, in collaboration with DCOP–DUHS, for the students of Govt. College for Women Korangi-06 and NJV Govt. Higher Secondary School, in alignment with SDG 4: Quality Education.

The session began with an introduction to academic pathways and career planning. Dr. Sumbul, Principal DCOP, and Dr. Izhar Hussain, Director IBHM, highlighted the importance of career guidance and shared valuable insights to help students identify suitable career choices. They addressed students’ questions, offering clarity, confidence, and direction. The session concluded with remarks by Ms. Yasmeen, Lecturer & Patron, who encouraged students to set clear short-term and long-term goals for future success.

Following the session, students were given a comprehensive tour of the Dow Ojha Campus. Beginning at the Pharmacy Department, they explored various academic departments, libraries, and student facilities. The visit also featured demonstrations at the DIMC Library, Gymnasium, and Animal House, giving students firsthand exposure to the environment and services offered by DUHS.

Team CSSS is pleased to share that the event was highly successful, and we look forward to organizing more initiatives that inspire and empower future learners.
