BS RENAL DIALYSIS TECHNOLOGY

The BS Renal Dialysis Technology program prepares graduates with the knowledge, clinical skills, technical competence, and professional attitudes required to provide safe and effective renal dialysis services.

• Clinical Knowledge and Competence: Apply knowledge of renal anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and dialysis principles to provide competent and safe care to patients undergoing renal replacement therapy.
• Dialysis Procedures and Technology: Demonstrate competency in preparing, operating, monitoring, disinfecting, and troubleshooting hemodialysis machines, dialysis systems, and related equipment.
• Patient Safety and Quality Care: Provide patient-centered care by conducting appropriate patient assessment, maintaining infection prevention practices, recognizing dialysis-related complications, and responding appropriately to clinical emergencies.
• Professional Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with patients, families, nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and work responsibly within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Professionalism, Research and Lifelong Learning: Demonstrate ethical and professional practice, apply evidence-based knowledge, participate in research and quality improvement activities, and pursue continuous professional development in renal dialysis technology.
