The Quality Assurance Department and Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Department of Ojha Institute of Chest Diseases (OICD), Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), successfully conducted a Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness Session on 29 August 2026 in collaboration with WHO Pakistan.
The awareness activity was conducted for Public at the TB Integrated Service. In addition, In Patient Department’s attendants were also invited to participate in the session to promote greater awareness regarding TB prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and the importance of adherence to treatment. Educational videos in local Language shared by WHO Pakistan, were displayed to ensure that important information regarding Tuberculosis could effectively reach patients and attendants in their local languages.
We extend our sincere appreciation to WHO Pakistan and Dr. Badar Manir, Public Health Professional working with WHO Sindh as Technical Officer RMNCAH and Nutrition for their valuable collaboration and contribution towards this important awareness initiative.
