Social Impact and Outcomes
A total of38 participants, including the Director, faculty members, and students of the Institute of Business and Health Management (IBHM), DUHS, took part in the outreach visit to the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park Urban Forest. Under the guidance of Mr. Zeeshan, Range Forest Officer, and his team, participants gained valuable insights into urban afforestation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable nurturing techniques.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity for experiential learning as participants engaged in hands-on activities related to tree care and plant growth, deepening their understanding of how urban forests contribute to environmental protection and climate resilience. The activity also strengthened students’ sense of environmental responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement.
This outreach initiative successfully aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 15 (Life on Land), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by combining education, collaboration, and sustainability-driven action.
