Event Outcome & Impact
The “Eidi Tu Banti Hai – 2025” initiative successfully reached DUHS Ojha Campus transportation staff, including point drivers, conductors, and mechanics, ensuring they felt valued and included in the Eid celebrations. A total of 96,300 PKR was distributed, with 94,300 PKR from zakat funds and2,000 PKR from non-zakat contributions. Each beneficiary received cash Eidi and dresses, creating an atmosphere of joy, unity, and mutual respect.
A total of 85 staff members benefited from the initiative. Each was given the choice of receiving stitched dresses or cash Eidi. Out of these, 30 opted for stitched dresses, while the remaining beneficiaries chose to receive 1,000 PKR cash Eidi. This approach allowed recipients to select what was most meaningful or useful for them.
Business students actively participated in fundraising, arrangements, and distribution, gaining first-hand experience in planning and executing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects. They developed empathy, teamwork skills, and an understanding of how community engagement aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The project reinforced CSSS’s long-standing tradition of sharing happiness, fostered stronger relationships within the DUHS community, and demonstrated the positive impact of partnerships between students, faculty, and donors in achieving social good.
