About Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital & Research Center
Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital & Research Centre (SIDH & RC) was established in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. This hospital, located in Karachi and affiliated with Dow University of Health Sciences, stands as Pakistan’s first dedicated infectious diseases facility. Led by the dynamic Prof. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy, Vice Chancellor of Dow University, our incredible team overcame numerous challenges to swiftly create a specialized space for COVID patients.
With intensive training, our healthcare professionals ensure quality care, extending services beyond COVID to areas like pediatrics, pulmonology, critical care, nephrology, and neurology. SIDH not only responds to crises but also symbolizes resilience and collective ability. We express heartfelt gratitude to our team for their support, hard work, and sacrifices, making this milestone possible.
