About DMC Campus Library
With an imposing exterior, the Professor Muhammad Ali Shah Library Block is situated at the heart of Dow Medical College, and is built over an area of approximately 10,000 sq. ft. The newly renovated building is over three stories tall and has a well-stocked souvenir shop along with the Moin Auditorium on the ground floor.
The main library, with the reference section and the archive section is located on the first floor, with more than 20,000 books available, and a well-furnished reading room for the faculty and postgraduate students. A separate reading room is built for the students on the second floor, fully air-conditioned, with another one under construction. The library is open from 08:30 hrs to 22:00 hours.
Services
Fully air-conditioned and well-furnished, this room is cozy and provides a hospitable environment for scholars to pursue their educational activities in.
Multiple books by both foreign and local authors are available on various subjects, along with the latest journals and publications.
The digital Library is situated on the third floor, with state-of-the-art computers and a speedy Wi-Fi connection. Vast and exquisitely built, it is designed to meet the needs of all the academics, including photocopy and printing services that are offered in the souvenir shop.
With high speed internet and state of the art computers, the digital library offers a space where students can browse through online content. HEC Online Resources can also be utilized by students and the faculty.
Bones can be issued to students and researchers for study purposes.

About the Digital Library
A fully accessible digital library is provided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan which gives access to their National Digital Library. This 26 station Digital Library with internet and PERN connectivity provides free access to thousands of national and international journals and textbooks from almost all international publishers. Every student has a library card, through which he or she is able to issue the desired books.
