A vibrant cultural exhibition was organized on June 3, 2025, at the Dow Institute of Nursing & Midwifery (DION&M), Dow University of Health Sciences. The event was held under the supervision of Mr. Faraz Siddiqui, Assistant Professor at DION&M, as part of the “Culture, Health & Society” course.
Prof. Dr. Tanseer Ahmed, Principal-DION&M, warmly welcomed the esteemed chief guest, Dr. Ashar Afaq, Registrar-DUHS. Other distinguished guests included Prof. Dr. Asima Faisal, Director – Institute of Business & Health Management (IBHM), and Mr. Khurram Iqbal, Deputy Registrar-DUHS.
Students of BSN Semester VI proudly showcased the rich and diverse cultures of Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Tharparkar. The exhibition emphasized the critical link between cultural competence and effective healthcare delivery, echoing the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
This initiative highlighted the importance of cultural understanding in creating inclusive, equitable, and patient-centred healthcare systems.
