The 4-week DUHS-KGS Summer Boot Camp 2024 concluded on July 30th, 2024.
Our esteemed guests, Dr. Kashif Shafique, Director ORIC, Prof. Dr. Ramla Naz, Vice Principal DIMC, HOD, Dept of Forensic Medicine, and Dr. Nida Baig, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Program Lead Clinical Laboratory Sciences, graced the certificate distribution ceremony with their presence.
The intensive career counselling program, held from June 24 to July 24, 2024, provided students with hands-on experience in research and clinical skills.
During the internship, students participated in hands-on demos, field visits, and training across various departments at the DUHS Ojha Campus, Karachi, ranging from studying the impact of inbreeding on Drosophila melanogaster, exploring Morgan’s experiment on genetic traits, training in molecular labs, microbiology, the use of automated machinery for sample identification and storage, skeletal anatomy and biochemistry, to conducting urine analyses, performing CPR, checking the scene and person, and Forensic Crime scenarios.
