(Highlight) Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Start date

16/10/2023

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women, and as we get older, the risk increases. It’s essential to start having mammograms at the age of 40 for early detection. One way to contribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month is by spreading awareness. Sharing information like this can help your friends, family, and community understand the risks and the importance of taking early preventive measures against breast cancer.
On October 16, an event promoting breast cancer awareness took place and was well-attended, with more than 100 participants from various healthcare disciplines. This event was organized by the nursing services in collaboration with the Oncology Department, DUHS.
