The Guest Speaker Session on “The Month of Quran – History, Virtues, Wisdom & Tarbiyah” proved to be a spiritually enriching and intellectually stimulating activity, deeply aligned with the vision of the Community Service & Sustainability Society (CSSS) – enlightening the youth to bring peace and prosperity, educating against stereotypes, promoting inclusivity, and fostering social responsibility. The session successfully nurtured values of empathy, reflection, and peacebuilding while strengthening students’ spiritual connection during Ramadan.
With a diverse audience of over 100 participants, including students, faculty members, professionals, and even representation from minority communities, the session emphasized inclusivity and respect for diverse perspectives. This inclusiveness reflects CSSS’s commitment to reducing inequalities (SDG 10) and building peace and interfaith harmony (SDG 16). The collaboration across departments and institutions also demonstrated strong partnerships for sustainable community engagement (SDG 17).
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the session as “informative, inspiring, and spiritually uplifting.” Attendees shared that the talk boosted their spiritual beliefs, enhanced their understanding of Quranic teachings, and provided practical guidance on living a more meaningful and mindful life. Several participants emphasized that such sessions not only help in personal development but also strengthen a sense of community and shared learning. Notably, minority voices appreciated the openness of the platform, acknowledging it as a step toward interfaith respect and dialogue.
Overall, the event achieved both qualitative and quantitative impact – fostering self-awareness, resilience, and inclusivity on one hand, and recording strong participation and positive engagement on the other. It reinforced CSSS’s mission of building compassionate, knowledgeable, and socially responsible youth, who can carry forward the values of peace, wisdom, and community development.
