Dow University Hospital (DUH) was honored to host a delegation from the Aga Khan University (AKU) Department of Psychiatry. The delegation included:
• Dr. Murad Moosa Khan: Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, Brain and Mind Institute, Aga Khan University Hospital
• Dr. Akash Kumar Ahuja: Clinical Research Fellow, Department of Psychiatry, Aga Khan University Hospital
• Mohammad Zaman: Research Officer, Department of Psychiatry, Aga Khan University Hospital
The delegation was invited by Dr. Aysha Abbasi, Head of the Emergency Medicine Department at the Trauma Center, and Dr. Mumtaz Ali Baloch, Senior Manager of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Trauma Center.
During their visit to the DUHS Ojha Campus Emergency Department, the delegation received a comprehensive departmental briefing and participated in rounds. Key initiatives discussed included the establishment of a joint research study on Karachi Self-Harm Surveillance and the integration of DUHS with other healthcare facilities.
