We are thrilled to share a remarkable achievement for Dow University of Health Sciences and Prof. Dr. Sajida Qureshi, our esteemed HOD of Surgical Unit I at DUHS Civil Hospital, Principal of the School of Postgraduates, and Director of the Directorate of Global Engagement.
Prof. Sajida Qureshi was invited to the prestigious XIVth National Conference of the Society of Surgeons of Nepal in collaboration with the SAARC Surgical Care Society from November 20th to 23rd, 2024, at the Pokhara Event Center, Nepal.
At the conference, she:
• Chaired the session on Upper GI Surgery.
• Delivered an inspiring talk in the plenary SAARC session titled, “Breaking Barriers: Women Pioneering Surgery in Pakistan.”
• Achieved a historic milestone as the first Pakistani to be honored with the SAARC Icon of Surgery Award, recognizing her groundbreaking contributions to the field of surgery.
This incredible recognition highlights Prof. Sajida Qureshi’s unwavering dedication and underscores DUHS’s commitment to excellence in healthcare and global engagement.
