On February 22nd, 2024, at the Punjab Governor House, Dr. Arif Alvi, the President of Pakistan, presented the ‘Presidential Award of Service Excellence’ to Dr Uzma Ata, acknowledging her remarkable dedication to the field of blood transfusion medicine.
Dr. Ata, serving as the Project Head at RBC DUHS (Regional Blood Center, Dow University of Health Sciences), was honoured alongside 14 other distinguished doctors from across Pakistan. These doctors were recognized for their steadfast commitment to providing blood components and treatment to patients afflicted with various blood disorders.
Dr. Uzma Ata proudly represented Dow University of Health Sciences, exemplifying the institution’s dedication to advancing healthcare and addressing critical medical needs within the nation.
