Continuing Professional Development

Since its establishment, Professional Development Centre is involved in organizing and conducting various Hands-on-Workshops. To date the PDC has trained Six Thousand One Hundred and ninety nine(6,199) health Care Professional from different tiers (University Faculty, Residents, House Officers, Nurses, Students and Paramedics) through more than Seventy Eight (78) different types of workshops e-g Basic, Specialized & advanced Emergency skills (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ALSO, PTC,) Neonatal Resuscitation, Disaster Management, Essential ICU Skills, Micro Surgery (Temporal Bone Dissection, FESS Rhinology) Essential Burn Care (Inter-burn), administrative Skills, Research Skills, Faculty Development Workshop, Laparoscopic Surgery, Medical Writing and Peer Review etc.

Some of these programs are being conducted regularly. Currently workshops on Basic Life Support are being conducted on weekly basis and Advanced Cardiac Life Support workshops on fort nightly basis.  In addition to the various events conducted on a regular basis, Professional Development Centre has started a new category that include preparatory courses for FCPS part I, TOACS and FCPS part II examination.

Other workshops like introduction to SPSS (statistical program for social sciences), Research Methodology, Basic & advanced Biostatistics workshops are also held on regular basis.
